How I Came Up with the Idea

Hey, everyone! I was just trying to explain to my friend (on Facebook) how I suddenly came up with the idea for this book. What's really funny is I couldn't exactly explain it to her. However, looking at this blog I was able to narrow it down and remember.
The day before, I listened to a Webinar presented by Mike Stelzner. He is the http://socialmediaexaminer.com guy. I was trying to educate myself better on using social media in marketing. It was one of those things where his suggestions and ideas made my brain start moving. I came up with first one idea and then other. This blog will kind of represent the story of my idea-making life since that day.
I feel so blessed. The Lord is blessing me with the sorts of ideas that will build my mom's business and maybe even by husband's. The ideas that continue coming will help me publish a book, something I have always deep down hoped I would do. I figured I would some day. I had no ideas. It was not something of interest to me in the present.
But now, the thing is, I think I have come up with an idea that could reshape the way people think about a certain topic. Tons of people are already saying it and thinking it, but from what I can tell, nobody is publishing it (other than maybe in posts, conversations, and articles online). I am terrified but excited to be that person.
My hope is that, even if someone has already thought of this (or written it), the spin I take will be unique enough to still make it popular.
We will cross our fingers and hope that I can take on this self-imposed responsibility in addition to everything else I do. Most importantly, I need to be able to pay attention to my husband and kids and keep my feet on the ground.
Let's hope I can see this through to the end. I am not always good at this. Anybody have advice on seeing things through to the end?
Also, let's hope I can accept constructive (and not-so-constructive) criticism. I am not good at this at all. Any advice on accepting criticism?
Until my next post. Byebye!
